Waves of Light Ecstatic Dance is a safe place to open and be fully yourself. A place to release your inhibitions, to be free in your body, and let go of anything that’s been holding you back.
A judgment-free space.
Where individuality, creativity, and experimentation are celebrated. There is no right or wrong way to move here. Your dance is your medicine. Our experience together is sacred. Because no matter your back round, what language you speak, or who or what you worship (or don’t), you are welcome to be here.
We invite you into a high-vibrational space to go on musical journey to deepen your relationship with your body, open your heart, and build real community. Movement, sacred practices, and heart-felt connection are what bring us all together.
Located in Virginia Beach, Va we gather at The Association for Creative Enlightenment once a month to dance!
Our Mission
Our mission is to create a safe, sober, and sacred space where people can move freely, express themselves authentically, and reconnect with their bodies through conscious free form dance.
Movement is meditation. Community is our heart. And every beat invites liberation.
Core Guidelines
No Talking (Body Language Only): Use gestures and eye contact for connection; talk happens outside the dance floor.
No Phones/Cameras: Stay present and respect privacy; no recording.
No Intoxicants: Stay clear-headed and sober (no alcohol, drugs).
No Shoes: Dance barefoot or in socks for grounding and freedom.
No Judgment: Move freely, honor your own expression, and don't judge others.
Consent & Boundaries
Get Clear Consent: For partner dancing, seek a clear "yes" through eye contact; crossed arms or looking away means "no".
Respect Boundaries: Honor your own and others' physical and emotional space.
Dance Floor Etiquette
Be Present & Embodied: Connect with your body, breath, and the music.
Wipe Sweat: Keep the floor clean.
Respect the Space: Be mindful of scents and general conduct.
